    Bizhub C203 Black Prints Light

    Machine was low on Black toner for a while. Finally replaced it and it show toner full but printing very light. If copying, it comes out blank.

      What have you done so far? Basic things like clean the print heads, print test pages in service mode, etc etc?

      What is life of black image unit? What is the level history 1 under state confirmation? Genuine or aftermarket toner?

          so far just clean the unit and waste hopper. haven't done the list as the manual is stuck in a PC that i am trying to get access to....

          probably 80% life in black imaging unit. genuine toner.

              What about level history in service mode for black? If low then image unit not getting toner.

              When you said it was low on toner for awhile it may have depleted the developer in image unit starving for toner?

              Also shake new toners at least 10 times before inserting into machine.

                  toner was low and we kept using it as the toner was backordered. is there a way to force it to fill toner to the developer?

                          Depending on how long you ran it without toner the developer could be depleted enough where it just won't recover.

                              Sounds like you need to replace the black imaging unit. However I wouldn't waste money on this old machine.

                                  this fix the problem. i guess we depleted all the toner when it ran low. thank for your help
