Drum unit and developer must be replaced at the same time. You must reset the Drum counter power off machine , replace both drum and developer, the re power and run F8, after completion of F8 re power machine.

just a quick note , when replacing the developer on the machine make sure the wires on the dv unit is not damaged from the metal guide rails.

Also the collars on the dv box will get loose and cause damage to new drums. If they have more than 300,000 I have a 30% fail rate.

When you remove the drum, on the end of the mag roller there is what looks like a round disc or collar. It will feel loose, but if it is too loose, it will take out the drum. Best way to compare is to take a new one and compare the two if you are not sure. I guess it wares into a grove on the old drum, because it will take out the new drum within two weeks.

              Mr.Sharma,

first let me know onething, what is the ATDC gain,if it is 110 like that increase to 145 to fix the prob atpresently.for perminant solution upgrade firmware to latest one,i face this prob in earlier version firmware.eventhough if u replace new developing unit C255c will appear.C2557 is different and C255c is different.
