    B250-282 SMB Scanning

    Hi all,

I have set countless machines up for SMB scanning and up until recently have never had a problem. Couple of days ago we installed a 421 and 282 at customers. Set 421 up for SMB without any problems then when i come to setup the 282 it doesnt work. They are going to the same server the same share using the same credentials so how can this be? and believe me i have double checked all the settings.

Today i go to a B250 and the same issue i just get a prolonged beep and it sitting at the copier saying "waiting" until it times out and says Server connection error.

    Any help much appriciated.

If the customer is using Active Directory on their network, the Bizhub 250 and the Bizhub282 will not scan to smb.

Yeah they do use AD. Are you sure it doesnt scan to SMB? The option is there when creating a one touch destination and im 100% sure i have set SMB on a 250 before.

The Bizhub250 and Bizhub282 are perfectly capable of scanning to SMB.
However, those models cannot scan to SMB on an ActiveDirectory network. They are not NTLM compatible. I heard rumors that phase2 of the Bizhub362/282/222 does allow NTLM settings.

Download from KMBS site special firmware G11-06, this will correct your smb scanning on the 282.
