    Old Minolta EP-5400

    I\'m trying to grease the this acct. a little. They have 2 minoltas. They want this one the EP-5400 to last until the end of Sept. Then they will get a new one. This is one of my great accts. just real good folks. This old box gaves a code of C8 sometimes. I just need to know where to start. It is loaded with all the options. Any help would be great.....so would the sales lead check at the end of Sept. HA HA HA Thanks

      I dusted off some odd manuals in the back and found the EP-5400 Service/Trouble Manual.
      Sorry for this weak question...Thats why I stick with Color & IT.

          First you must clean the fusing unit ( thermisters, separator,etc, etc ) If the problem remains check the condition of the fusing lamp, it gets like it as coffe and milk inside. Also check if there is any piece of plastic that covers the thermister missing. Replace ( if you are very lucky to get ) if necessary. C8 means High Temperature.
