Konica 3135 with an 18-1 error

Theres a Konica 3135 at the office that I work at and it just came up with an 18-1 error. My company can't afford to call out somebody to service it but I'm pretty handy. I just can't figure out what's wrong. Can anybody help me?

You have a broken lift gear in the top cassete lift assembly, being "handy" might not work here since you have to pull the feed assembly out and unplug it from the main board, call a tech or dont use the top tray or better yet dump the machine its over 10 yrs old

Ok thanks. I had already set it to use the second tray instead of the first. I would really love to dump it too cause it makes horrible copies.
