I know you can go in from pagescope and change the resolution via programming under scans.... but I am wondering if there is a way to go into the copier with the utility key to change the default smb resolution settings?

in a nutshell, no. Not unless you want ALL scan types to be set to the resolution you want. Bear in mind that if you want compact pdf, your resolution options are limited."Many years ago I chased a woman for almost two years, only to discover that her tastes were exactly like mine: we both were crazy about girls."

Press 'Scan' and the 'Scan Settings'.
Now setup everything that you want defaulted such as resolution, file type, colour.
Once this is done, press 'Utility' - 'User Setting' - 'Scan/Fax Setting' - 'Default Scan/Fax Setting'
You should now be presented with two buttons. Current Setting and Factory Setting. If you machine is set to Factory, then press Current Setting. If your machine is already set to Current Setting, then touch it again. Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.Comment
