    [Misc] firmware compatability

I am taking over service on the IKON brand of the KM 1050. My rep says the firmware is different and he cant get it for me. The versions and checksums look the same to me. Are they different? Can I flash with the KM code and will it work after?

Dont know for sure, but I have been told that there is a chip that you can replace then use km firmware, but again that is heresay. My guess would be no, based on km models with other manufacturers.

A certified and absolute no, they are not compatible.

Far too many differences to make 'em the same.

(That's by design - it was no accident!)

Are the 1050's different from the CPP 650/Pro C6500. I've flashed both of them with no problems.

On a similar note, can you load Fiery system software for an Ikon CPP 650 Pro 80 on a KM Pro C6500 Pro 80
