One of our technicians is having an issue with Toner display on a VL2822c; here's his information:
"Display on bottom left of screen indicates that black toner is low (bar graph) and it appears
to be going lower. Customer is concerned that machine may not work when it shows empty.
Changing toner does not reset or change the amount displayed.
Tried Unplugging, adding toner (Image adjust, toner add), searched for any sensor that would detect
amount of toner in bottle, could not locate any. Sub-hopper has sensor but adding toner appeared
to drop the amount indicated in the toner bottle. Suspect display amount is based on a count, but
could not determine how copier detects that tone bottle has been replaced, in theory manual."
I've not found any updated bulletins on this in our system; has anyone seen this in the field?
