Check the cabling, if I remember correctly there's a DVI looking cable that plugs into the side of the display for that model.
Depending on what parts you have available, arranged by cost: (unless the panel costs more than boards? never had to order one)
1. Check cabling
2. Swap entire display panel, again if I'm thinking of the right machine it's just 1 screw. Usually it's board related though.
3. Swap boards in whichever order the service manual tells you to
Firmware would be a good option too, I think some machines have a timer and automatically start the firmware update if you can't push the start button.
