Having problems with the fuser unit counters, does not reset. I am desperately searching for the latest firmware update for the bizhub 501. I am reaching out to all the super heros of the copier tech world for help with this urgent matter.

On this model they are reset in service mode. They do not auto reset when the new unit is installed.sigpicComment

if you have the latest version of the firmware you have to go into service mode and clear both the present parts life counter and the initialize the fuser count.
1. Go to Service mode (Press Utility, Meter Count, Check Details, Stop 00, Stop 01).
2. Select System 1 and then Initialization.
3. Touch Counter Data.
4. Select Fixing Counter and press the Start key.
5. Exit the Service mode and power cycle the unit.
if counter data is not available try going to the dip switches and setting dipswitch 11-7 to ON then following the procedure above.Comment
