Is the photo interrupter working properly? Try to change it.

My most common problem would be the spring on the actuator on the photocell in the switchback unit coming off. I had 2 machines that I could not get to work and had to change the SB-1. I know that is the easy way out but maybe you could swap the units if everything else checks ok.

Check that the switcback guide is not broken! Often this is the cause of jams. It should be easy to see if you unship the transport bed you can unclip the cover.

I have had this so much it is common. if the machine works great on single sided. then you do a double sided copy it will jam in that switchback unit. guranteed that actuator has popped off. although it may be something else. we are not there in front of it. but if it was my machine in my area. look at that first thing. a little tricky to reinstall.
