Konica bizhub 7272- Scan to PC not active

I have installed the external hard drive kit -OK, but the scan to PC icon in the copier LCD is not active. How do I active that section or do I need an xtra chip installed somewhere on the copier for this part to work?

Hello - Thanks for the information

I was really trying to use the scan to pc feature. See attached photo and you will see that those sections are grayed out ... BUT thanks to your handy dandy Scantrip program;It scans in without using that greyed out feature. You would not believe how long I had been at this today.

Even though the program said it was for a totaly different machine; It works great, and I can scan in multipages into 1 pdf file....
I am so happy!!!!
Now I can call my customer Monday and get him going quite quickly.
