I had the same problem in C8000. In my case it was toner. Cleaning the toner supply system. Load new toner.
in your case, the mark repeats after a certain time in the same place, or randomly?
Clean the glass of the laser window. Remove the drumunit and look into the cavity you will see a glass strip around 100 x 10mm which need to be cleaned. Silly construction BTW........
