    admin password

My wife's office bought a Bizhub 253. I am unable to access the tech/rep mode. The machine is locked and the normal administrative passwords don't work. I do most of the IT work for the office but this problem has me baffled. I tried entering
    1. Press the Utility/Counter button
    2. Touch [Check Detail].
    3. Press the following keys in this order.
    Stop → 0 → 0 → Stop → 0 → 1
    4. Enter the 8-digit service code and touch [END]. (Default value: 00000000)
but upon entering the utility screen I get a counter detail button on the left lower corner (IT DOES NOT SAY CHECK/DETAIL). When I hit that it takes me to a page with several tabs for print, scan, fax, copy etc. If I hit stop at this point all I get is two beeps. Entering any 0s after that produces no results. I am frustrated that I can't make this work. I have a 200,250 and 350 field service manual but can't seem to get anything to work. I am not sure if a 253 is different. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Dave

Sounds like someone has set up a tech rep code, by default there isn't one set.

Heres the service manual, have a read up!

      turn off copier
hold down util/counter button and flick on main power switch (not sub power!)
wait until a black dot appears then let go of the util/counter button
Will come up with a trouble reset option, ignore that
      now do stop 0 0 stop 0 1

this should get you into service mode
