I am new to Konica Minolta machines and have a customer that has a stapling and punch problem. If you print a document and choose to punch or staple it, nothing happens other than the document just prints. Any ideas on where i need to look first? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have u setup the print driver configuration with the correct finisher? if you go to the options tab on the print driver menu you should be able to "aquire device information" and then it will detect that the finisher and hole punch is installed. if you cant get it to staple when u copy then it will be an issue with the machine itself and you probably need to change the hole punch unit to "set" in tech mode. also make sure you have put in the finisher serial number in tech mode. -
This could also be a firmware mismatch between the main body and finisher. The firmware for the finisher is a separate file from the main body firmware and needs to be done with its own process. Either you need 2 compact flash cards, one with the main body firmware, and one with the finisher firmware, or a laptop with a cf adapter to rewrite the card in the field using the Firmware Imaging toolkit.Comment
