U978 in service mode in KM5050?can't find its use.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

On a KM-5501i, U978 is Clear Optional Function.
On KM-5050 it does nothing. Were you just scrolling through the service mode trying out all the simulations? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

u978 is not listed in the last revision [rev. 9 ]of the service manual. In many machines service modes are listed ,but not funtional . If it is not listed in the service manual, ignore it. sometimes though, with firmware updates, additional service modes are included. e.g fs-2626 , u21 is not found in the earlier firmware, but later updates it is included.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burkeComment
