Re: TaskAlfa 3500i Check Appropriate Size message
We have not. However, I will try that if the issue comes back. After cleaning all of the Platen sensors, the call has not come back at this time. It may have been dirty sensors as they were pretty dusty.

Overhead lights can throw off the size sensors as well.Leave a comment:

Re: TaskAlfa 3500i Check Appropriate Size message
Have you run SIM U099 to adjust the detection of the original off the glass? Since the originals seem to run OK through the Doc Processor, I would adjust the document size detection in U099.Leave a comment:

Replace the org sensor and it's PCb. A bad PCB can talk out the sensor

TaskAlfa 3500i Check Appropriate Size message
I am on a machine that has received its 4th call for the same issue. The machine will intermittently display a message of "Check appropriate Size" on the LCD Display while at rest. It's calling for Ledger. We have cleaned the optics, sensors, size detection board in the ADF, adjusted the Document Feeder, Updated the firmware to v9.01 and every time we think we got it and it goes away, another call back comes in for the same issue a few days later. This is also only happening off of the Platen glass. Scanning and Feeding through the ADF works fine. I have attempted to google it and scoured the depths of these forums and can't find anything related to it.
First Call - Cleaned and regreased Size Detection Board in ADF, Updated Firmware
Second Call - Cleaned sensors in ADF
Third Call - Adjusted Doc Feed positioning
Forth Call - Cleaned Optics, sensors, platen glass
At this time, the message is gone and I have not gotten it to come back since I have been on the call. Has anyone had this issue?
