Kyocera fs-4200dn white copy

Had a almist new fs-4200dn and had a broken cover. Tried to replaced from another machine and now the copies come blank. Didn't try another developer/drum yet. Just in case I fried it.....

Machinw has less than 80k copies

Sounds like the linkage to your laser shutter isn't connected. When the cover closes it opens the shutter so your laser can write to the drum. When the cover opens the shutter covers the laser for safety reasons.

Thank you, it was just as you said. When the cover closed it would actually close the flap.
Just wish every kyocera machine woukd ve so easy to get to the laser......

It's a semi official mod to remove the flap to prevent blank pages and to prevent an issue were it's rather hard to close the top cover.
