    [Electrical] Kyocera KM-2560/3060 BAT1 (CR2032) purpose

I have scanned through both the basic and advanced op manuals, and the service documents.

I only found mention of it as BAT1 in the PWB layouts and reference to installing the incorrect type dangers, and how it is to be disposed of.

Is it for anything more critical than Calendar, Clock, and user settings/programming?

Is there anything critical as for instance fuser roller temperature etc.

    Thanks

    I don't understand.

Don't touch the battery, unless it fails.

    You're overthinking this. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I was concerned as the machine is 10 years old. I have no way of knowing if it has been ever been replaced.
