Hello. I have kyocere taskalfe, she came today from a supplier. Model 4551ci is listed on the flap, but there is no name on the status page printout. It doesn't have any labels with the serial number, anyone knows how to include the name on the printout?

Re: taskalfa 4551ci model name missing from printout
DOUBTFUL.
look for "Serial Number" in your manual.
31+ years on MOST brands I have NEVER seen where you cannot input the serial # !
what about if you go in thru the WIM?
IS IT A BRAND NEW UNIT? or refurb?
most times when a serial # is missing it means it is NOT brand new! but a refurb!
if you notice here on CTN we have some people asking how to reset TOTAL counters to -=0 =-, this is one way that " refurb " places sell their boxes as new and most time it isn't properly refurb'd!
Buyer Beware!
I ask about refurb again because you never stated if it was/was not in your reply.Comment

Re: taskalfa 4551ci model name missing from printout
It's called destination. It's the number code for what badge appears on the outside of the machine.
If you cannot find a badge anywhere, take a look at the holographic sticker on the toner cartridge(s).
Destination is sim U265:
Kyocera Mita: 2
Utax: 11
Olivetti: 12
Copystar: 66
not sure about Gestetner or IKON
Keep in mind, that if you select the incorrect destination your toner cartridges will no longer be recognized.
(Phil: somebody probably ran a U021 All Clear, changing the destination value to "0".) =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
