    CS3550ci Enabling " Job Accounting " broke " Send to Email "

Anyone have a solution for why enabling "Job Accounting" makes the email SMTP/POP3 values invalid
with regards to "Send to Email"?

KNOW!!! the settings work when "Job Accounting" disabled. Sends scan to emails like a champ with copier email account info.

KNOW!!! Individual users are setup as Administrators with NO "Restrict Usage" .... including "Send Restriction:"

Only 7 users, non-can email w job accounting on.

What am I doing wrong? Failed to configure? Feel like it's something simple!

    TIA

Job Accounting is activating a security option that to me looks like is trying to authenticate the logged in user with the smtp you posted instead of using the one set into device. Isn't there a setting to lock the sender address somewhere? Just throwing and idea...

              Agreed. Using both is pointless.

Actually, I don't think job accounting has anything to so with smtp - sending an email. I just activated job accounting and authorization and I'm able to send an email just fine. You may, however, want to check your send security settings.

PS - If all else fails reset the machine back to factory default and start over.

You're working with the 0 series. I'm working with the 1 series but I think the setting are the same. From the homescreen go to Security Settings and then Send Security

Sorry, I forgot the Homescreen is different on the 0 series. You'll have to look around in the settings for it. I don't have a 3550 in the shop.
