    Kyocera FS-1035MFP region

    Hello

I have costumer that claims printer does not recognize toner cartridge.
Gives error: Unknown toner installed. PC

I am suspecting that the printer and cartridge are not regionally compatible.

How to check which region is the printer?
I remember that letters in serial number suggest the region?
The serial nr. starts with NR (NRxxxxxxxxx)

      Is it Generic toner???
I've seen generic toner that doesn't have the second set of hooks to grab and "lock" the toner in so I think the little RF board on the toner wasn't making good contact and would randomly throw toner messages. Billable customer so what they saved in the generic toner cost them more in the long run with a service call

You may be able to reset that message by pressing and holding down the stop and OK buttons for a few seconds.

It is our company refilled toner (OEM shell). So the chip is like generic yes...
But there has not been any problems with those toners.
