Kyocera mobile print app, taskalfa 300ci and composite black issue

    Hello,
we are using a Taskalfa 300ci with Kyocera mobile print app and I’m not sure if this was always an issue or just came up with latest updates.
But when selecting color print option and the page has b/w text and color pictures the b/w text is printed with black toner and again using composite black. Which ends up in an not usable print due to too much toner.
Using the windows driver you ca configure to print text b/w only and the rest with color.
As this option is not provided by the app I wonder if there is a setting on the 300ci to force text to be printed in b/w so it can’t be overridden by the app when performing a color print?!

It is a KX driver feature which is not supported in the mobile app driver architecture.

The app only allows/provides option for color or b/w printing nothing else (at least for the 300ci).

yep, that’s what I thought, I’m really curious if the older app versions had a better implementation.
I’m pretty sure it worked better in the past versions of the app…
