IH stands for induction heater. It is made up of coils similar to a transformer and when an AC voltage is applied to it, it generates eddy currents in the adjacent fuser belt causing it to get hot. It’s much more efficient than a standard heater lamp and temperature can be controlled much better. High end kitchen hotplates use the same technology
    Hope this helps

    TaskAlfa 5002i IH Unit?

    Hello,

Does anybody know what is the IH Unit for TaskAlfa 5002i? What role does it have? What IH stands for?
It is located directly behind the fuser and the hot roller seems to have contact with it (or, at least, is very close)

    Thanks
