    Kyocera 3500i Document feeder failure

We have a Kyocera 3500i that says "document feeder cannot be used due to failure". The copier does not take in the paper at all.

    Flatbed scanning works without problems.

Is replacing the ADF unit the only solutions?

    Thanks in advance

Page 1-3-216 of your service manual:

    U906

    Description
Resets the service call code for partial operation control.

    Purpose
To be reset after partial operation is performed due to problems in the cassettes or other sections,
and the related parts are serviced.

You might take a look at the error log to see what error occurred. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks! This worked, changing the ADF unit actually did nothing.

Could you guide me to where I find said error log? I did find several status reports and the event log.

The simplest way? I've attached a .txt file. It's got the PreScribe command required to print the Error Log.

Just change the file extension to .capt
Copy the file to your USB2 stick.
Insert the USB stick into the MFP or printer
          Select the file ErrorLog.capt
          Print

It works on every Kyocera made in the last decade, especially handy on printers that have no control panel to speak of.
I would have posted it with the .capt file extension, except the forum doesn't accept files with that extension.
