    [Error Code] C8800 on DF-7100 KM-5053ci

    2ND-0124 (1234) Technical Bulletin request.
I am hoping that someone may be able to send me a copy of this bulletin.
As we know KDACONNECT access to bulletins is pretty much dead so no luck there.
I am aware of installing washers between the connector but wanted the extra info.
    Regards and thanks.

Those new rails may or may not do any good. I have replaced them on dozens of these finishers and still have had numerous ones randomly get C8800. All of them got new boards in the finisher and print engine then an entire new finisher. I think in all but one case the machines that were not fixed with the new rails got upgraded to a 1000 sheet finisher and AK. In the one case they opted to have no finisher at all due to space restrictions.
Just sayin', be prepared for it.

          Appreciate your input.
I agree that these units are a bit of a pain shall we say.
          Cheers

These DF-7100’s are rubbish. Hopefully better in the new generation but we have had issues with just about every one in the field at some point. 8800 errors despite the mods, guides falling off, poor handling of slightly curly paper…..if I had my way we would never sell one.

Don't worry, they're not any better. The Epson AM-C A3 machines use the same inner finisher and we've already had that code show up twice. When we got training for them in LA, I told the entire class and the instructor(senior tech) that it might be an issue, and what do ya know?
