    TASKalfa 3554ci and three sectioned perforated cardstock/portrait = J0501

The customer is intent on using cassette 1 (set to auto/inch/cardstock) to print this stock, machine is band new, three weeks at site. They don't want to use the MP because of the volume of end-of-month mailers (the perforated cardstock), and the person that is responsible for the processing is unsure of making changes to the program she is using for the printing (resetting feed to the MP). Has anyone found a workaround in this situation? I asked the customer to switch the cassette 1 orientation to landscape, and the stock is now feeding without error, but they are not filling the cassette as they want to get through the first several hundred copies to make sure the CQ, etc., is comparable to the portrait fed results before trusting this fix.

if it's hanging on the perforations between sheets, no amount of fiddling is going to get success. Only quality perforated paper that doesn't have protruding bumps from dull factory cutting will be useful in the copier.

100% agree. if ANY of your perforations run crossfeed, they will crack when the paper DOESN'T buckle at the registration roller, and backs away from the registration roller. The only guarantee I offer, is that you will continually have issues with pre-perforated cardstock. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
