So I need to pick your brains. When printing from word in mailings, word completely ignores what the MFP is set for. MP tray, labels or envelopes etc and just pulls from drawer whatever. Is there a simple solution to work around Microsofts setting's and actually use the Printers settings.( TA 5052ci).. I have copier set for MP tay, labels as default. I know if were to just print a doc I would get printer properties box, but in mailings it just fires away with whatever microsoft uses. Ends in smeared labels and creased envelopes. Naturally if you make a copy off the glass it will pull from MP tray, adjust the temp, and slow the print. But can we work around Microsoft???

Re: Printing labels, envelopes out of Word (mailings)
You are exactly correct. The machine entirely ignores driver settings, uses only Microsoft Word settings. You have to make the changes in Word. I had a customer with Lexmarks with this issue. The IT company came through and wiped each of their PCs, one at a time, tossing out those settings.:
In Microsoft Word envelope source is designated as "Manual Envelope" or "Auto Select". Select feed source in Microsoft Word application: Microsoft Word > highlight the receivers address > select Envelopes > Options > Feed From: (drop down menu) > select Multipurpose Feeder > OK. Confirm that the paper source multipurpose feeder paper size and type are programmed as COM10 Envelope.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Printing labels, envelopes out of Word (mailings)
I'm not quite understanding where the change needs to be made Blackcat. I do appreciate the holler out though. (printer settings within word have MP tray set as default).
I'm unsure how to reach (Select feed source in Microsoft Word application: Microsoft Word > highlight the receivers address > select Envelopes > Options > Feed From: (drop down menu) > select Multipurpose Feeder > OK. Confirm that the paper source multipurpose feeder paper size and type are programmed as COM10 Envelope.)
I'ved looked in advanced setting for word etc. Or must I get into the registry for the program itself?? And just curious BK, are you from P.A. ?TXS again

Blackcat, you are awesome. I set up two guiey printers and named them label and envelope, so when you print whala you can select any damm printer you need.
Now I just need to train folks not to press print from label screen, instead (add document) the file/print. Lifesaver......Comment
