Re: kyocera p7240 noise
From the photos, it appears to be a unique item (not a standard 6mm, 8mm, 10mm bushing). If you've got a graveyard or worn out units, you could certainly scavenge what you need. That would be my first choice.
I would offer to look through my miscellany, but i don't think I've seen that exact thing before. =^..^=

Re: kyocera p7240 noise
it's a machine with which I have no experience, I think there's no harm in asking since the customer is far from the office and I didn't want to go there totally unpreparedLeave a comment:

Re: kyocera p7240 noise
We had a similar case a few months ago that stumped us for quite a long time. As it turned out the levering system on the fuser had come partly undone and some times one of the rods would be pushed into the big gear on the ITB assembly. We had replace the ITB, rear door and the driving gears for the ITB before I accidentally stumbled on the fuser issue. I was able to simply reassemble the fuser properly and no problems since.

Re: kyocera p7240 noise
Yep. The bushing on the transfer belt near the drive gear wears causing it to skip with a horrible noise and registration error. New belt required.

Re: kyocera p7240 noise
I suspect that the primary transfer belt cleaner assembly is clogged up, stalling the primary transfer belt. That would explain the faulty color registration. Have you examined the machine yet? =^..^=Leave a comment:
