We have this one machine that we have probably put five of these in in the last 6 months or so. It will work for a while and then back up and grind again. We even replaced the waste toner assembly the waste toner bottle goes into with a new one. Not sure what is causing this but everything looks to be working fine and then a month or so later it starts grinding again.
Anyone had issues with 6002 model constantly grinding due to waste toner box backing?

Yes we replaced both units, the one on the side and the one in the back. The one in the back of the machine is the one that has been done multiple times.Comment

Sounds like a logic issue if it isn't emptying. What has Kyocera support suggested?Comment

Genuine toner? Also, how new are the DV units? We've had a couple issues with the waste section of the transfer unit not emptying correctly, and only one or two machines with the waste sections of the machine backing up.

What about the main drive unit? I know you've replaced the hopper unit attached to the main drive, but that's what drives that unit to empty. Also, calibrating the color, including running the transfer unit replacement setting in U410/469/464 - I forget which one has it - resets the values of the transfer unit. The rest of the calibrations will hopefully help with the amount of toner being laid down. I assume you already did calibrations, but I always stick by the KISS method, as well as easiest/most logical things first.Comment

Can't blame you there. One or two are good, the rest were useless.

No worries, I understand. I'll ask the techs if they have been doing that, even though I stress it to be done on every call already.Last edited by Necrocannibal; 01-03-2024, 08:57 PM.Comment

The waste toner bottle unit, waste toner hopper unit (behind main drive), feed drive unit and Primary belt should all be done at once. I've tried doing fewer, but ended up going back and doing them all.Comment

from my experience the amount of stucking waste decreased dramatically after mounting from new waste box unit and usage from factory data instead of manual calibration.
Did techs followed bulletin M011_2V8_0053?Attached FilesComment

The feed drive unit drives the waste auger on the main drive unit. Since it's backed up so many times, maybe there's an issue with one of the gears in the feed drive assembly. missing teeth or a broken gear?Comment

I didn't know this bulletin existed, thanks.Comment

They all seemed fine, I think KYO found the answer with the bulletin.Comment

I second that. Waste Bottle, Bottle holder, Waste hopper behind drive unit and feed drive unit. We have found old bottles wear out and creep forward enough to back up the waste. Make sure to feel test the vertical agitator in the black hose tube to the waste unit when re assembling new system also, to make sure its not seized up on install.
Not a great fan of this system, please bring back a simple waste bottle with full window and air bubble.Comment
