    KM5035 Creasing A4R

    Hi guys

As mentioned i have a KM5035 creasing copies only when printing on A4R paper. For the life of me i cant figure this one out. I've tried the fuser but no luck.

My customer only prints duplex, and the machine only creases when fusing once the page has passed through the fuser once already. I've tried fresh paper but still. I've also thoroughly service the entire paper path. I'm taking a duplex unit tomorrow.

Does aybody have any other ideas

I would grab the duplex, also the turnaround, and there was a new style unit where the transfer unit sits on, it should have two white pulleys instead of 4. I would also take a different ream of paper from your office. Lots of these problems are timing issues so make sure your feed tires are in great shape. Also as long as you are bringing parts you may as well bring a ak 71

The later Falcon 2s have height adjustment bar for the fuser. I have seen that cause creasing if the fuser isn't level. Also check the Exit Unit. The one way clutch gets gunked up. I'm actually having my Kyo rep come out next week to check out a 3035 that is having a similar problem.

        Thanks

        Thanks for the ideas guys

Problem is solved. It was the mid feed unit. Somehow it decided to magically jump out of the machine, fall on the floor, break off one of its pins that slides into the rails, glue it back onto itself, and then got back into the machine, sitting at a bit of an angle. Man made fault. Afer i replaced it, machine is going at 110%. Amazing for a machine sitting at 1.39 million clicks - gotta love those machines

Just for interest sake, the machine right next to it came up with an interesting fault. intermittantly it would print a page with a nice thick blank area in the image with a black line running down the page just before the blank area. This was found to be a very badly worn coupling on the drum drive unit. I know the KMC 2525E series of machines do the same as well. First time I had this on this model of machine though, and I have quite a few sitting on more than 2 million clicks.
