    excess toner spread on copy paper

    i have a problem of thick toner straight patch(thick line) on side of copy paper in kyocera mita 4035.
    i have tried replacing drum unit but does not solve the problem.
    can any one please guide.

    Can you post a scan of your problem, It would help if we could see the fault.
    The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

      Outside of the drum have you checked the heat roller and the mag roller. Either one can cause this issue. Checking the heat roller is easy enough. just open left side cover and see if the surface is scratched, which happens over time, especially around the claws.

      If not there check the developer units mag roller. Occasionally toner solidifies on the roller in bands, causing the lines. If you find such bands you can clean them off (typically with a dry rag and some pressure). That said if it reoccurs you'll want to replace developer unit
