i have a 2126 out in the field that every two to three weeks the registration is way off. by about 1/2 an inch. you can get the registration back to perfect and it will seem to run just fine. then it goes out agian. any had to deal with a problem like that on this machine yet. we have not put any new parts into it. i thinking starting with the transfer belt.. any other ideas to start with thanks guys?

Can you reproduce the problem? If yes, can you try some internal prints, to determine if it's engine or scanner? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Next question: On color copies/print that present the problem, is the color registration accurate with respect to the other colors? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

from top to bottom of the page the problem is equal at all parts of the page. from side to side it is not the left side of the page is a whole lot closer to normal than the right side of the page. as it moves right it gradually gets worse. starting at roughly 1/8in off to over a 1/4in at the far rightComment

It's not something mechanical like a transfer belt or registration clutch/motor. If each color is affected a little differently, and varies on the page (especially side to side) it's got to be something in the image processing or laser unit. I'm thinking laser. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
