    KM-8030 - Thining Letters

    Hey! =D
My company recently purchased a few KM-8030s for one our new locations but we've noticed that it prints things strangely bright and also thins out characters. Not really sure what the problem can be but this happens in both network printing as well as making copies on the local machine. We've done some test prints between the 8030s and some of our 4035s and the difference is noticeable. Thanks and any help would be appreciated! =D

If you rotate the image and the copy paper, does the image compress exactly as before, or on the other axis?

The drum drive motor may be turning slowly (possibly because of a flipped drum blade or some other mechanical drive problem). This is probably the only cause that would affect prints and copys, and compress the image in the feed direction.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Being that they are new, I would imagine you have a maintenance agreement in place on the equipment. I would recommend calling your dealer and having them take a look at the machine.
