FS-9530DN losing paper timing from bypass only

I have a customer with a FS-9530DN that is losing paper timing only from the bypass. The unit has about 2.6 million on it. Printing from all 4 drawers is perfect, but print from the bypass and sometimes the bottom page number is in the middle of the page on letter R. Rollers in bypass were just replaced last week with the PM kit. Tried switching the middle feed section with another working unit and did not help.

I think I had this same problem before and I changed the registration clutch. Its weird that the problem is only on the bypass. Any other ideas of anything to check.

I'd start with the clutches, specifically the lift clutch, especially based on the count. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have had this on other models where customer feeds a lot from the bypass tray. In my case, it turned out to be the gray rollers in the bypass feed unit worn. You really can't tell by looking at them, but the circumference is worn, causing the paper to slip. The ones I have seen seem to be worse on thicker papers. Hope this helps.

I had a call at a 3035 that was doing the same thing. Customer was feeding labels from the bypass and it jammed one time. Remnants of a stray label got stuck in the paper path right above where the sheets were passing through, causing a delay. The registration timing was late, but not enough to register a jam.
