In this order: 1) remove fuser, 2) remove transfer belt assy (if there is an external finisher the belt assembly will just barely clear the finisher), 3) remove waste toner bottle and holder, 4) remove for toner cartridges and toner hopper assembly (full front inside the front cover, (5) screws with long magnetic screwdriver, connector cover at upper right, connector, latches at far left and far right simultaneously), 5) four developing units (1 shoulder screw and one connector each unit), 6) four drum units (one connector each), 7) vacuum out cavity, clean patch sensors: black strip visible through left door-black plastic arm at front opens sensor window, wipe any remaining with stretch-n-dust, feel free to bleed freely from your forearms, 8) Clean any primary charge rollers as needed, 9) re-install drum units to be reused, 10) Install new drum units, 11) vacuum any excess toner from developing units, check for leaking rear bearings, 12) reinstall developing units to be re-used (developing unit pins to the appropriate drum to provide proper spacing, 1 shoulder screw each), 13) install any new developing units (make sure that new developing unit turns freely, and that developer is covering the mag roller evenly front to back, tip unit to even out developer, 1 shoulder screw each), 14) Plug in four drum units, four developing units, 15) install toner hopper (fit hopper over various waste toner spouts, latch left side first, then right side with a click, 5 screws, 1 connector, connector cover with 1 screw, four toner cartridges), 16) vacuum out waste bottle holder, and install new waste bottle and holder, 17) insert transfer belt assembly (take your time on this: there is a fin at the front and back that will guide the transfer belt assembly in on tracks. It takes a few tries to get it just right. Don't force it. The transfer belt will touch the upper frame when it is inserted properly. Gently press the transfer belt tensioner down to clear the frame, and slide the rest of the way in. The belt assembly drops into a groove when it reaches the final position. Attach connector and guide wires straight down to clear the fuser. 18) install fuser, two screws (don't over tighten), 19) close doors, covers, and finisher. 20) Perform color calibration. Plan on ~2 hours with a good cleaning and calibration (and no serious problems). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Wow thank you very much What is the yield on the color drums? I noticed that the color drums are only sold as a set of 3 or am I mistaken. Thanks and have a great day

There are two maintenence kits....the black one which has 1 black dv, 1 black drum, transfer belt and roller, and fuser and a few other lil things....then second is 3 dvs and 3 drums for the color. each kit has it's own maint cycle

Interesting and what are their yields? Also was wondered if the black drum could be used in the color positions without modifying or with modification to the black drum. That's what we do on the Ricoh''sThanks for the info

should be 300k on both kits. And yes drums are swappable, but there is a mylar and 2 foam pads that kyocera recomends you put on the black drum for toner dusting.

Really, good info to have. Thank you very much On the Ricoh MP C4500's the connector on the black drum needs to be modifiyed to match the same shape as the color drums and that makes them swappable.Have a great day

Yes you can swap drums. They're chipped, and yield ~300K, usually less from the color ones. I'm not sure why. You can order then separately, but the cost is considerably more for three single, than 1 set of three. As you probably already know the first time is always the hardest, so take your time. =^..^=

Also update the firmware to the latest version when you do all this. And if you did have an old style developer in the machine and put a new one in, after running some print jobs your developer will ratchet back some making a clicking noise.....inform your customer of that if this is the case and save yourself a service call or two...

Really we did not consider the firmware updating. How is that accomplished throught IE interface to the Internet or through a SD card ? That's what we do on the Ricoh line. Your really well versed on the CopyStar line. Thank you kindly again and have great evening

No, ... and No. On the Saturn series firmware is loaded from a 1GB USB flash drive. No extraordinary formatting required. Just extract the firmware files to the root of the stick. Nothing else on the stick. > Power machine Off > insert USB Flash Drive > Power On > it usually takes ~25 minutes to flash, but don't interrupt it, I've seen it take as much as 1 hour. > wait for the "Completed" screen. > take the time to read if each firmware piece was "Completed ", "No Change", or "Failed". Yes, definitely upgrade firmware when replacingdevelopers. I did a 250ci without upgrading and the machine threw a developermismatch error code. It seems that the newer developers won't work on oldfirmware.
