[Error Code] C6400 Error - How to reset?

    Hello,

I have an KM-2810 and is showing a message: C6400.

I saw this thread http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ky...ror-c6000.html, where the error is similar that mine.

But i can't go to "System Menu", the message don't go out.

    What is my problem?

I was opening the toner cover and pressing the button, but the "menu" don't opened, the message don't go out.

    Thanks!

      I've never heard of a KM-2810.....but if it is a Kyocera...just get into the maintenance mode, do a U163 to reset fuser....if that's a no go...replace fuser.

Don't exist the option 0163 for reset this problem. So, do you need take off the fuser unit and check it. Check the thermostat if it is open. After replace the thermostat or clear the thermistor, put fuser unit again in machine and automatically it returned to be functional. Please check that in most cases this code appear in low energy conditions below 115V.

Looks like an FS-1128 if so it will not have the Simulation U163. This error 6400 is a zero crossing error not a fuser error. In older machines it is cleared by the fuser reset. This error is usually caused during power surges. Appartntly in this machine you will have to fix the problem by replacing a board. I do not know for sure as I have not run across this problem on this machine yet.

If the U163 won't help then You should use U021 or U020.
