    550c fusing issues

I have a 550c with 720k on it. Replaced the fusing unit with the new 2 lamp style last week. Now, the paper the customer has been using this whole time refuses to accept the toner. Feels like an orange peel and flakes off slightly under pressure. I've tried boosting the thick three settings in 08 mode (the six I could find), but it seems like it makes no difference to the machine. Tech support hasn't seen the problem, nor could explain the settings. Anyone out there have success at increasing fuser temp? Should I try to modify the new fuser with the old set of three lamps?

Hi, I dont know this model, does it have the screws to add the pressure and if so did you adjust them?

Tension springs were at max. Resolved the issue by trying all the different paper type settings. Thick 2 seemed to be the most acceptable.
