Alphard CS-4550ci in the Copystar line slow copying

I have a customer with a new CDC1945 or Alphard CS-4550ci (thanks blackcat4866 for this info) mfp copying and printing slow intermitentley. Firmware is up to date and no errors in the event log occur. I have seen the problem myself. When they go to copy the machine might cycle for 60 seconds to two minutes before the first copy, even from the ready screen. Powering down and repowering up again solves the problem. However it reappears after a few days.

I thought it was a toning/developer issue but it doesnt seem to be. I replaced the toner cartridge just in case, but no change.

    Any suggestions apreciated...

      Hi ,

I have a TASKalfa 4550 ci with the same problem.
Copying en printing intermittent very slow. When the customer goes to the machine the machine might cycle for 60 seconds to two minutes before the first copy, even from the ready screen. Powering down and repowering up again solves the problem. However it reappears after a few hours.

      Silent mode off
      Fuser replaced
      HD replaced

      but still no solution.

      Any suggestions apreciated...

      thanks in advance

Had this issue recently with 2 3540 MFP's right next to each other.one would print at 40 pages per minute the other 20 ppm even though it was the same file with the exact same settings. The solution was a sim 21 reset on the problem machine. Not been back since so it may be worth a try

After i set "silent mode" to off the machine works fine.
(the customer uses silent mode ,because they are working near the machine)

          Thanks Venom.
