    5500i 200k volume with finisher

    Hi all,#
We are looking at installing one of these in an educational site with a finisher, expected volume around 200-300k a year.
Just wondering how reliable are the finishers at this type of volume. As we all know schools, etc will bulk buy the cheap paper so I just want to see if the finishers will stand up to this or can I expect any issues if the paper isnt top grade.
    Thanks for your opinions.

You can always expect issues if the paper isn't top grade We have a few of these at schools, I'm not sure of the volume but the paper is cheap bulk and we haven't had any major issues. Just the few needs a tweek here and there calls. Just keep the machine as clean as you can, should be ok.

      Hi Zackuth,
We have a few of these ourselves in schools as well but not with finishers.
Just wondering if the finishers can cope especially with cheaper paper.
Myself I think with the paper exiting through a bridge section and out to the left, having a
longer paper path has more potential for problems.
We have one of these machines with a finisher with no trouble but the volume is quite low.

We have a number of schools doing a much higher volume using the DF-790 mostly on the 6500i and 8000i. The finishers are holding up very well.
