Kyocera 250ci (UTAX CDC 1725) Firmware, error C7401

    Hi all
I have a client with a UTAX CDC 1725 which I am told is the same as a Kyocera 250ci.
I have installed the Maintenance kit MK-865A all apart from the black developer unit because as soon as I installed this, the machine give error C7401.
After investigating error C7401, this error indicated a developer unit which the machine does not recognise and that I need to update the firmware for it to recognise it.
Does anyone have this firmware for the UTAX CDC 1725?
    Many thanks

Check your connectors. Put the old dv unit back in, does the machine work now.

      Hi Tonerkiller

Yes I put the old one back in but they need the new one ideally....

There is actually a little board on the dv unit that you can swap from the original unit to make the new one work without the code. Just follow the the little connector on the front of the dv unit to find the board. You'll have to remove a little black plastic cover in order to see it.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

You can solve this problem with v11.00 or above.

            Hi

I had returned and swapped the board from the old dev unit but the same error presented itself . . . .

Do I need to go into service mode to run a dev setup??

If firmware is required, I'm concerned that the Kyocera firmware would not be compatible as it is a Utax branded machine. . . .

I'have this problem one week ago and I've solved it by replacing the little board from old dev unit and replacing white gear at the rear of dev unit from old unit, because the dev unit's dispenser motor can't spin the dev unit gauge. If You see at Your old and new dev unit and compare the gears you see the difference. Sory for my english skills, I think You understand me.

And from my expierience: the Utax and Kyocera products are very similar but some parts is not compatible. Utax and Triumph adler parts is the same.
