Default I.P. Address for the NS-30G (NIC)

    Hi Everyone,

I have the KM-1650 with the add on 'scan to email' functionality, made available through the NS-30G module. I just reset the NS-30G which is essentially a network interface card (NIC), however I cannot find the default I.P. address for the card no matter 'how hard I Google it'.

Furthermore I have used the MAC Address utility from Kyocera, http://d.imgsw.com/sw/swchannel/Cust...kcardsetup.pdf, to no avail.

Does anybody know the default I.P. address for the NS-30G?

    Kind Regards,

    Davo

The default is DHCP, so it could be anything. The way I usually deal with this is to let the scanner pick up a DHCP address. Use a utility like NetScan to browse the IP range, creating a list of network devices. Pick the hostname of the scanner out of the list, and there is your IP.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Hi Guys,

Thanks again for your helpful responses.

Subaro: The guide that you provided gave me access to many settings, including the I.P. address...much appreciated!

Ultimately the printer was left off over the weekend, and after being turned on again (this morning) it is reachable on the original I.P. address.

I think that the printer / scanner just had it's 'knickers in a know'.

        Kind Regards,

        Davo
