[Misc] KM3050 noisy panel fan in standby

Hey techs, I got a KM3050 which is making quite loud noises from the front panel. I changed the "FAN OPE 40-10" (302GR44010) but the noise didnt change a lot. Its still loud, tho the old fan was very dusty. Do you guys have any idea how to throttle the fan down in standby?

Did you even read the text? I was even posting the same PN and name. I replaced it with a new one. But its still louder then it should be. Thats why I am asking if there is a way to throttle the fan down. The problem appears only in standby, because its the only fan running in standby.

Oops. my mistake. I am guilty here of the one thing I dislike: Techs that post without reading whole text.
I did read it but was distracted and posted quick reply.
        I sincerely apologize.

In answer- I never had one that I replaced that was noisy after replacement. Perhaps try another fan? could be a bad one. I do remember some thin plastic film that the fan sat in perhaps to guide airflow. Could that be out of place and causing the noise?

        Just a thought.

        I hope it helps..

If you are careful, you can keep the op panel up and turn it on to further isolate the cause.

I've had a few of those fans that fit quite loosely in the plastic duct. When the fan spun up to high speed it would vibrate in a very annoying way. I used electrical tape, and wrapped 5 or 6 wraps around the outside edges of the fan, then used some additional force to snap-fit it into the duct. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hey guys thanks for your answers, I will open the panel again and see if it the fan is too loose. Electrical tape sounds like a good idea, I should try this and I will look for the plastic film to be in place.

FYI the fan on the back of the machine, inside the print system back cover is the same fan, if you need another to try out.
