Pitney Bowes C235 HELP!

I bought a C235 at a garage sale and used a previous thread posted on this site to get rid of the flashing wrench. Then I had F1, but now have E7 01. Please help! THANK YOU!

Does this have a sorter? I think yes. E7-01 is the bin stack home position out of place. Power it off and try gently lifting the bin stack with both hands evenly and see if you hear a 'click'. If so, pull the sorter away from the machine and turn it back on to releive the code. Copier should initialize itself normally and tell you to close the sorter. Push the sorter back in for it to initialize itself without throwing a code.
This code is common when a box, waste can or furniture interferes with the movement of the bins.

C235 E7 01 Doesn't want to go away

I've tried to reset and turn the unit on and off. The sorter seems to be in the right place. Any suggestions on what might be wrong with the sorter? How to make the error E7 01 go away. Thank you!

Thanks for the advice on the sorter. I really do appreciate it! It doesn't want to recognize the sorter. It still shows E7 01. Any ideas? Thank you!

diamondr, be patient, been there!
If you turn off the copier, push away the sorter, and then turn it on, what is your message? "E7-01" or "close sorter" If E7-01, then copier does not recognize interlock switch. If close sorter, then close it. Does it try to move the bin stack before it makes the code? If not, then the actuator is resting on the upper limit overrun switch and it won't do anything until it is manually rotated down a little. Please reply with the model # of the sorter 9731 or 9732 or 9728 or 9727 before I can say what to do next!

Thank you so much for your help!!! The model of the sorter is 9727. When you pull the sorter away it says E7 01. When you push it back in it still says E7 01. It does not move the bins when I do this. Thank you again!

C235 does not recognize letter size paper

C235 - Does anyone know how to reset this machine so that it will recognize letter size paper in the lower bins. It only recognizes letter and ledger from the side slot but gets jammed going through. I've tried to press the buttons on the panel but it only recognizes letter and ledger. Any suggestions! Thanks!
