Could use help with HP CM1015MFP

Customer drops off said machine for jamming problems at the exit. Found no trouble there, but the magenta is not showing at all (copies or prints). I have the service manual, but it's not much help with isolating the trouble. I found no obstruction of the laser, the cartridge doesn't have any obvious electrodes bent or missing, and the ETB assembly looks okay. Any help on where to start is greatly appreciated.

We don't carry supplies for most HPs and probably would not have accepted the work order if we had know there was a printing quality problem. I thought I could get by with just cleaning or replacing paper feed tires or fuser unit for the jamming. I would hate to order magenta cartridge and not fix the trouble. Do you have any troubleshooting hints to confirm it is just a cartridge? Thanks in advance...

Check the magenta cartridge and see if it is an original or a refill. If it is a refill that may be the problem as alot of the rebuilds are not done properly. I am in Canada so I don't carry the toners in stock. I have replaced the cartridges in these units for this same problem, but check with your customer to see if they have another magenta cartridge to test the unit......Duke

HP has always had problems with the magenta cartridges ever since the 4500.

I'm pretty sure they are OEM cartridges, the total count is only 630 with 223 color. I'll check if he has a spare cartridge. Thanks for the info Duke and Paul.
