KIP 3100 freezes at KIP logo at startup

I believe the IPS software has crashed and is not loading. Tried safe-mode and such with no luck. I access the KIP site thru Toshiba and I cannot find where to download the IPS software, all there is are bulletins and parts manuals.

I know how to load the IPS, but cannot find the software anywhere.

I believe it had 7.1 on it when it crashed, but I'll take what I can get .

Curious: Can it be recovered like a windows XP crash of same type? I have recovered some XP computers that freeze at WINDOWS logo by copying files out of the windows\repair or from a restore point folder (if I remember right are named "software, system, security, sam, and default") and overwriting current files of same name, rebooting, and then doing system restore.

        Hi,
You need to reinstall every thing using the rescue disk that is taped under the IPS. Try to have the key codes for the printing, PDF and color options with the customer. Check on the log and in the paper bag. If not, send us the serial number, IPS ID, we will try to have them with KIP.

I got a copy of IPS 7.3 and loaded it. Now everything is up and running - I printed out the key codes and put them in with the service log for future use. I eventually got Toshiba to get the codes from KIP.
I appreciate your offer to help very much. Thanks.
