    Dp-mc210 drum reset?

Does anybody know of a way to reset the drums on one the MC210s, besides by replacing the drum unit? It seems like there is a lot of life left in them when the machine decides it wants to waste more money.
If not a setting in the machine then do you think replacing the resistors on the drum cartridge would work?

    Thanks.

It doesn't looks like you can reset the drums manually, i guess you could try the resistors.

You can't reset the drum counter. That drum has a fuse on the drum unit itself that blows within about 100 prints after you install the new drum unit. I had a tech that tried to jumper over that fuse and wound up blowing the SC PWB.

What we do here when we first set up the machine, we remove the fuse before we install the drum into the machine. We keep a few of those fuses to reset the drum. There are two little resistors at the brass contact of the drum. One is a resistor and one is a fuse. Use your meter to check which one is the fuse. When you first put the drum into the machine, the machine will blow that fuse.

No reset in the machine (I thought so), and replacing the fuse will reset the drum.

          Thanks for the input everyone!
