    [Jamming] J-31 Panasonic 8060

When duplexing and stapling the copier will get a J-31 jam every time. Has no problem single sided stapled and has no problem 2 sided no staple. Tried new finisher with same results. Replaced tranport section no change

Does it run OK with the finisher completely removed? Does it jam in the finisher or in the machine around the registration sensor? More details would be helpful.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

It runs fine without the finisher. the problem is when we staple and duplex. It copies the first side then gets to the second side the copier will pause for a short time then kick up the J-31. The paper will be in the reg area and just exiting the fuser. When we installed the new finisher there was no change. I can duplex all day with no issues untill I select staple. I replaced the entire Transport section and still have the issues. Today I plan to try the Reg sensor and rebuild the clutch pack and swap out the fuser exit sensor. I dont understand why it only happens when stapling. Have updated the firmware to the most current version

Aftermarket staples have been known to cause this. The jam occurs at the stapler, and the J-31 occurs because that sheet is waiting at the registration roller for the stapler to signal clear before the paper advances.
