[Jamming] All trays jamming panasonic 8060

Hi everyone, after a bit of advice if anyone can help, I have a 8060, about 450K on meter, was called out for jamming from tray 1, other trays working (apparantly) when I arrived, I removed tray 1 paper feed section, it had 3 well worn feed tyres, smugly I replaced all three tyres, clean the unit up, rebuilt and ready to walk away, but no, instant jam, so I went through the usual stuff, strip, clean, rebuild etc etc, no change, put tray 2 feed station in, worked fine, so I decieded to get tray 1 and 2 working with the other paper feeds, and re book for parts and fix paper feed 1. When I rebuilt it all back up and tested, I couldn`t get a copy out of either tray 1, 2 or 3??

I had all the back off, ran it with the waste bottle out, everything turns, drive motor etc, but still jams, it does though make a bit of a whine/squeak from the back area, quite hard to pinpoint, the paper is not getting out of the cassettes, it doesn`t even look as if its getting picked up, its showing j01, j02 etc.

Another strange thing, just before I left the only way I could get to clear the jam code was by switching on and off, no paper anywhere, but that was the only way??

Anyhoo, just thought I would put it out there, ALL help/ideas appreciated.

No offence, but you had to have caused it.
Pinched wire, two connectors swapped, one connector not plugged in or not plugged in tight.
I recommend a second set of eyes. Bet him lunch that he can't figure it out. It would be cheaper than spending hours fighting yourself and there is nothing wrong with a little ribbing.

It happens to the best of us.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

        Wow....a couple of scenarios....

        1. The trays are not lifting. A J01-02 indicates the paper never left the drawer. There is a flag and 2 gears on the back of each drawer. The motor turns on when the flag goes into the 3 sensors in the rear frame. I have seen these sensor packs get knocked out as well
        2. You have a bad SC board. You can go into F4 and test all the motors and sensors in the paper drawer and feed area. There is also a known issue with a wire that rubs the paper feed clutch. It usually give E5-01 in the error log but can cause any number of weird symptoms.
        3. You have one or more of the paper feed harnesses upside down. I only saw this once but it booted fine but jammed immediately.
        4. What nmfaxman said.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

just a heads up to the fault, I went back the next day with a full drive unit from a doner machine and fixed the fault straight away, my guess is that one of the clutches on the drive had gone, or possibly the motor, it was making a "funny noise" before I swapped it out.

            Anyway, thaks for the responses.
