Dp C354 Touch Panel Won't Calibrate

    Hello everyone,

The touch panel on this C354 has been acting up over the last few years. Randomly the touch panel will be off center an inch or so and the customer complains about it not working. I've been able to calibrate it every time it's done it in the past and it would work and would be fine for a few months. Now the panel is about two inches off to the right and this time when I tried to calibrate the panel, it won't work. I can enter the calibration mode but after I press the first + it won't accept it when I press the second one. I tried reseating all the connections in the control panel and that didn't help. It's still off two inches and it still won't let me calibrate it. Any suggestions on what it might be?

    Thanks in advance!

Small change there is debris between the operator side of the display frame and the touch panel but most of the time you have to replace the touch panel itself. The conductive compound used to attach the ribbon cable is disintegrating by time and humidity.

I would have to agree with Hansoon. I checked the bulletins, but did not see any for touch screen. There are upgrades for the screen on some Panasonics but not the color ones. If it were me, I would disassemble it and clean everything with a slightly damp cloth of alcohol. Let us know what you find.

Yeah, my gut told me it would be the touch panel. I had one ordered and replaced it yesterday and it worked fine.

          Thanks for the help everyone!
